The Jackbox Party Pack 3 Has A Release Date

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 Has A Release Date

A lot of people ask us here at Jackbox Games “What is the hardest part of making a game?” Most of the time, we just ignore that question and the person who asked it and drive away in our diamond-studded limousine. But this time, it was our limousine driver doing the asking, so we decided to put our minds to it as the diamond-studded locks clunked shut and he gave an ominous laugh.

As soon as we tired ourselves out from kicking at the windows and drinking all the Yoo-hoo in the mini-bar, we thought long and hard and the answer to his question came to us: picking the perfect release date! Sure, there’s art, programming and when we feel like it, writing, but you GOTTA nail that tricky release date. That’s why we thought even longer and harder and came up with a winner; October 18, 2016!

What a perfect date! It’s right before all the big, party holidays. There’s Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, the two-year anniversary of Ariana Grande licking that donut, and we want to be there when you celebrate.

And celebrate you shall! We have some amazing games in this Party Pack that we’ve all fallen in good, clean love with: there’s Trivia Murder Party, a trivia game hosted by a serial killer, Guesspionage, a polling game based on answers from the public, Tee K.O., where you battle your witty T-shirts and slogans, Fakin’ It, where one of your friends is a dirty liar and you have to catch them and finally, Quiplash 2, the sequel to our big, hit game… Uh, I forget what it was called. Wait, I have it tattooed on my hip. Tweety Bird! Nope, wrong hip. Quiplash! That’s it!

But that’s not all. We’ve added new features that let you deal with those jerks we call trolls. Our new censor features let you boot those guys the second they get all obnoxious. And believe me, they WILL get obnoxious.

If you really want to see how awesome our new games are, check out some of our gameplay videos from TwitchCon: Jackbox Games Videos

Now, who knows how to break out of a limousine doing 80mph down the Dan Ryan, driven by a cackling maniac? Or at least, can someone bring us more Yoo-hoo?

Announcing Tee K.O. for The Jackbox Party Pack 3

Announcing Tee K.O. for The Jackbox Party Pack 3

Oh boy, I am jazzed about this. If you were at PAX West, or watched the Twitch stream (archived here, starting around the 4 hour mark), you might have caught the public unveiling of Tee K.O., one of the brand new games in The Jackbox Party Pack 3.

You and your party pals have journeyed to mysterious T-Shirt Island where you must compete in an ancient and deadly fighting tournament. But instead of fighting with fists, you fight with t-shirts. Everybody draws pictures and writes slogans, then they get swapped around to other players. Whoever puts together the best/funniest/stupidest shirt wins the battle! Tee…K.O. Get it? I hope you get it. We had a lot of conversations about that name, so just do me a favor and get it, okay?

Honestly, the only thing that could make this game better is if you could somehow purchase the shirts from your game for real… Hmmmm…

So, we’ve talked about Quiplash 2, Guesspionage, Trivia Murder Party, and now Tee K.O. One unannounced game remains in the pack! Except Evan actually said it’s called Fakin’ It at the panel, but you don’t know what that means yet! Stay tuned here and to @jackboxgames for more info.

IndyPopCon Brawl will feature Quiplash 2 and Drawful 2

IndyPopCon Brawl will feature Quiplash 2 and Drawful 2

The main event at IndyPopCon is Brawl 2016 and Jackbox Games will be bringing our brass knuckles to Indianapolis on June 17.

PopCon Brawl 2016 will pit two teams, head to head, in a series of gaming challenges that earn them points for their team and cash towards their designated charity. The stakes increase each round as the games swap and the players are adjusted. Our competitors are asked to flex their diverse gaming muscles or risk facing a series of extremely brutal punishments for the losers. (Brutal for them… for us, they’ll be hilarious!)

We will be providing two of the games these teams will be playing: The soon-to-be-released Drawful 2 and the first-ever public look at Quiplash 2 with some very special Quiplash prompts made especially for the event.

If you’re going to IndyPopCon, this event should not be missed.

So, Yeah, We’re Making Quiplash 2

So, Yeah, We’re Making Quiplash 2

Sequels, amirite? Video games are full of ’em. Uncharted 4, Witcher 3, DOOM (little known sequel to DOOM). Don’t game developers have any new ideas?!

Except all those games are great! Therefore, sequels must be great! Which is why we’re excited to announce Quiplash 2 (technically the third Quiplash) as the second game in this fall’s Jackbox Party Pack 3 (definitely the third Jackbox Party Pack)!

Like any good sequel, Quiplash 2 will win your heart with a bunch of fun new twists on a classic formula. New features! New final rounds! And of course, all new prompts! Plus, you can finally prove you’re funnier than our writers by making and sharing your own custom games!

So that’s Guesspionage, Quiplash 2, and three as yet unnanounced mystery games coming to Party Pack 3. Those three aren’t sequels to anything. But they’re still pretty good.

Guesspionage Coming to The Jackbox Party Pack 3

Guesspionage Coming to The Jackbox Party Pack 3

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is coming this fall and, like The Jackbox Party Packs before it, this version will consist of five party games in one lovingly crafted box… er… digital download.

We’ve already announced that Drawful 2 won’t be one of the five games, so the whole pack is pretty wide open. Well, today we are doing something about that and announcing that Guesspionage will be one of the games in The Jackbox Party Pack 3!

What is Guesspionage? Let’s see. There’s a “Guess” and an “Espionage.” That’s a good clue. Or is it “pionage?” Hmm. What’s “pionage?” No, it’s “espionage.”

We’ll explain how the game works soon. I’m looking at one of the artist’s computer screens and it looks like there may be a dolphin involved.

This has been your vague announcement of the week. Byeeee!
