How to Throw a Great NYE Party

New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, so you’re probably stressing out about what plans to make. RELAX! STOP STRESSING!! Good, now you're calm. If you want a guaranteed fun night, all you have to do is invite the people you love over to play some Jackbox games. To make it even easier for you, we’ve created a helpful timeline of how your NYE party should unfold.

4:00 PM

Wake up. Now that you’ve had 16-18 hours of refreshing sleep, you are prepared to stay up until midnight.

5:00 PM

Start preparing your Jackbox-themed appetizers, like Lobster Seeking Lobster, Brie K.O., and Civic Cheese Doodles.

6:00 PM

Guests should be arriving now. If for some sick reason they aren’t familiar with our games, feel free to show them this quick How-To video. If you recently purchased one of our party packs on iPad, here’s a helpful guide on how to get it on your TV.

7:00 PM

Get everyone’s attention and then shout, “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Happy New Year!” Do this joke consistently the rest of the night. It will NEVER get old and everyone will love/respect you for doing it. 

8:00 PM

Play some Jackbox games and have a great time. Find all our games here. 

9:00 PM

Start figuring out which Jackbox avatar you want to smooch at midnight. Maybe that orange guy from Fakin’ It? What’s his deal anyway? He’s not even in the game. He’s sooo mysterious.

10:00 PM

Go to the bathroom for goodness’ sake. You haven’t gone all night! That’s seriously messed up.

11:00 PM

Play some Jackbox games and have a great time. 

11:59 PM

Pause your game to usher in the New Year with the good, kind, lovely people in your life (who just five minutes ago wrote some very vulgar things).

12:01 AM

Now politely tell everyone to leave. You only got 18 hours of sleep and need to hit the hay.
