“Jackbox Games and Friends”
Jackbox Games welcomes a distinguished panel of special guests including the cast of the hit podcast “Hello From The Magic Tavern” and host of Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me, Peter Sagal, to compete in several ridiculous party games including your new favorites from The Jackbox Party Pack 5. And guess what? You will be able to play along on your phone by voting for your favorite answers!
Siblings: sometimes your bond with them is so strong they feel like family. But how do you get close to their new significant other? Sure, the two of you could book an all-inclusive resort on an exotic island for two weeks, but “society” frowns upon that option. Luckily, there’s another way. You can play Fibbage: Enough About You with them.
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Grab your laptop, iPad, or Nintendo Switch with The Jackbox Party Pack 4 already installed and PACK. THAT. DEVICE. You’re going to need your charger and you’re going to need an internet connection upon arrival.
Step 2: When under the same roof, study the significant other from afar like Jane Goodall. Jot down some basic info, like where they live, what their job is, and what kinds of food it eats. You’ll dive into the fun personal details later.
Step 3: Mirror every TV in the house to show the Fibbage 3 menu screen. They’ll inevitably fall for the trap…
Step 4: Fire up a game of Fibbage: Enough About You.
Step 5: Introduce this alien life-form to the game mode of Fibbage where all of the questions are about you and your fellow players. Players get points for guessing the truth, and for fooling others with their lies.
Step 6: Start to discover that this interloper is actually pretty witty. You didn’t see it at first but, wow, they just got you good.
Step 7: It’s the final round so it’s time for each player to enter one truth and one lie about themself. What will they possibly say in such a tight spot?!
Step 8: Oh, wow. Their truth is that they volunteer at PAWS every weekend. And their lie is that they’ve never met Patrick Stewart. They met him in London after seeing a play he was in. That’s pretty neat. This person is WAY cooler than your brother.
Step 9: You are now best friends with your sibling’s significant other. Two years later, you book an all-inclusive two week vacation on an exotic island.
Play Fibbage: Enough About You in The Jackbox Party Pack 4 tonight! Available on major digital platforms now.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Jackbox Games stage and/or attended our panel at PAX South 2019! We had a blast meeting you and playing party games with you. If you didn’t attend PAX South or couldn’t make it to our panel, you can watch the full video here.
The team behind YOU DON’T KNOW JACK presents five guffaw-inducing party games in one pack including YOU DON’T KNOW JACK 2015, Fibbage XL, Drawful, Word Spud and Lie Swatter. Players play using their phones, tablets, or even computers as controllers – making it the perfect easy-in entertainment piece for your next game night or party. Once a game is started from the in-pack menu, players simply connect to the “jackbox.tv” web address on their device and then enter the provided 4-letter room code to enter a game. No big mess of controllers needed!
Everybody knows that Jackbox Games bring the party. But what happens when Jackbox Games ARE the party? When Jackbox fan Jim Perry turned 50 this year, he decided to test this out! If you’re looking for inspiration about how you can take your Jackbox nights to the next level, look no further!
Step 1: Form Your Teams
You don’t HAVE to have snazzy lanyards to signify which team you are on but don’t these look cool? Jim’s party involved 3 teams of 6 people playing on separate TVs all at the same time.
Step 2: Choosing Your Game
Yes, there will be that party attendee that demands Trivia Murder Party like Freebird at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. To keep things fair and encourage some variety at your party, consider creating a random system for which game comes up next. It also takes some of the pressure off of you as the host. For Jim’s party, they found a prize wheel online and Jackboxified it.
Step 3: Make Sure Everyone Has a Good Time!
If you’re playing with friends who are new to Jackbox Games, it’s advisable that you spend some time making sure everyone understands how to play. Before they started to keep score, Jim played a few practice rounds with attendees. And, to really up the ante, he created these grammar cheat sheets to ensure that everyone’s Mad Verse City raps could pass an English test!
Step 4: Figure Out a Scoring System
Everyone loves a party with stakes. In Jim’s case, they tracked scores in 4 rounds of games and declared a first place winner, a second place winner, and, to keep things quirky, a ninth place winner. (Although, based on this scoreboard, a Jeff was bound to win all along.) A code for The Jackbox Party Pack 5 made for a sweet prize and everyone received an evening of silliness and merriment.
Next time you have a birthday around the corner, consider Jim’s sweet setup to guarantee a good time for all! Start building your collection of party packs now.
If you’re not playing Jackbox Games at your work happy hour, is it truly an hour of happiness? Yes, our games provide merriment and revelry amongst friends and family, but did you know that they also double as killer team building activities? Or, at the very least, a structured social activity that can cut through the tension of awkward small talk. You’ll never have to hear about Jim’s root canal debacle again!
If you’re already the boss (literally, not figuratively) give one of our party packs a whirl on a Friday afternoon. If you’re not in charge, (and really, none of us are in this rat race we call existence) become everyone’s new favorite coworker when you buy one of our packs on sale as a gift for the office.
A few things to consider before you get a game going:
Our handy, dandy “How to Play” video will take some of the burden off of you explaining how to get started.
Some offices have firewalls that block Jackbox.tv, the page that players will need to open in their browser in order to connect to the game. Test this ahead of time and if possible, have a wifi hotspot ready to use as a backup. Then immediately apply for a cooler job where they allow our games.
Jim might use the user-generated content opportunities to mention his root canal debacle again. This can’t be avoided, but you can send a subtle message by not voting for his answers.
Many of our recent games have Family Friendly settings that you can turn on in the game’s lobby menu before starting. This is HIGHLY recommended for an office environment! Unless you are an agent of complete and utter chaos.
Not sure which pack to go with to start the party work-sanctioned activity? Our most recent pack, The Jackbox Party Pack 5, has something for everyone! Practice your pitching and presentation skills in Patently Stupid, show off your trivia knowledge in You Don’t Know Jack: Full Stream, or channel your rage by destroying aliens in Zeeple Dome, to name a few!
Ahead of New Year’s Eve, Jackbox Games wants to help you get a jump start on one of the biggest decisions you’ll have to make in 2019. After all, who better to help you set important life milestones than the creators of Lie Swatter! So, here are our suggestions for your New Year’s resolution based on the games you love and cherish.
Get better at drawing. Sure, you can draw a decent penguin but can you draw a missed high five? This is the perfect year to invest in expensive art lessons, so a sad man in tweed can teach you about cross hatching. Or just grab a copy of Drawful 2! It’s guaranteed to turn you into the speediest doodler this side of the Atlantic Ocean. (Not a guarantee.)
Ask someone out on a date. Need some help mustering up the courage to ask a dreamboat out for coffee? There are dozens of highly disreputable seduction courses anxious to take your cash. But that might conflict with your other New Years resolution to not be a garbage person. Instead, try Monster Seeking Monster. If you can ask a zombie for a date, a human wearing a puffy coat at Starbucks won’t seem scary at all.
Pitch your big idea. Yeah, THAT one. The one that could make you the big bucks if you had the courage to pitch it. The best way to practice this kind of high stakes presentation is to work in your garage, day and night, until you become the CEO of global tech conglomerate. The second best way is to use Patently Stupid. Watch your friends have their lightbulb moment as they realize you’re going to be the “rich friend with a boat” someday.
Be more fashion-forward. In 2019, you’re going to impress upon people that you’re here to Look Good.Sure, you could walk into your local JCPenney and grab literally anything off the rack. (Not to mention the savings!) But, why should THE MAN tell you how to dress. Create your own bold, exciting t-shirts in Tee K.O. that you can order after you play!
Learn more about your inner circle. With big secrets comes great, great power. Hiring a private detective to follow everyone you know at all times is a no-brainer. But for a budget-friendly option, just play Fakin’ It with your friends. You’ll learn about all of the weird facial expressions they make when they are trying to hide theirs!
Our games are on sale now! Pick up a party game or two to enjoy with friends at your New Year’s Eve party.
Friends, you have only a couple weeks until you’re expected to arrive at a holiday get-together with gifts in tow. But fret not! We’re here to save the day with these gift recommendations that just so happen to be in our best interest.
For Mom or Dad
You’ve already given them the greatest gift by simply existing, but you still need to get them something this year.
We suggest giving Carol and Don the pack that started it all – The Jackbox Party Pack. It’s guaranteed to be a “hoot and a half!” Get it for them on an iPad, Amazon Fire TV, or even through Comcast Xfinity. Just make sure you do the right thing and help them set it up. Fortunately, it’s a lot less frustrating than showing them how to use Instagram. Here’s a quick video that will help.
For Your Best Friend
Getting a friend a Jackbox game is like getting a gift for yourself without it seeming selfish. It’s the perfect con. Since these are the games you’re going to play together most weekends, you should get the latest and greatest.
Pick up The Jackbox Party Pack 5, which just came out in October! Celebrate your friendship by challenging them to a rap battle and pitching them some really dumb inventions.
For Your Coworkers
Don’t be like a certain Jackbox Games employee and bring a roll of bubble wrap to a gift exchange. (*cough* Hector). Instead, we have a much better idea.
Pick up a code for Quiplash, print it out, and give your coworkers the gift of laughter. This is what The Tonight Show employee Jimmy Fallon did for his co-workers. [link to video playing with the Roots]
For the Jackbox Super Fan
Nothing. They should own every single game from our catalog… but just in case they don’t…
Pick up the You Don’t Know Jack Classic Pack on Steam and your favorite super fan will get nine of the deeply-loved You Don’t Know Jack installments of Christmas past for only $20!
For Your Fridge
Your fridge, like your heart, is cold and lonely. Give it some love by getting these Monster Seeking Monster magnets. Its heart of palm will grow three sizes if you do.
