*Schmitty Voice* The most romantic way to propose is by writing “Marry Me” on _______?
You know what they say! When two people are in love it’s only a matter of time before they get engaged via Quiplash! Or at least that’s how it went for lovebirds and loyal Jackbox fans, Chloe Landau and Rob Galas.
The couple recently became engaged when Rob photoshopped “MARRY ME?” into Quiplash. The couple has a long history of using Jackbox Games for momentous occasions.
When it came time to find a date for prom, Rob decided to ask Chloe to be his date by photoshopping ”Prom?" into Word Lash. Their friend group would play Party Pack 2 nearly every day during their free periods their senior year. “We all liked it so much it became a basically daily occurrence by the time senior prom rolled around,” the couple said. We assume our games are a daily occurrence for everyone who plays them.
“I figured incorporating the promposal into a game of Quiplash would be fun, and make for a total surprise,” Rob said. When it came to recreating the moment for his marriage proposal, he had actually conceived the idea only a couple of months into their relationship. “I wasn't sure that I was going to marry her at that point, but I knew that if I ever did then that would be how I carried out the proposal.” And over Friendsgiving 2023, Rob did just that.
One of the reason’s Rob fell in love with Chloe is because of her open-mindedness. “She's never afraid to try new things, explore new places, or talk about whatever comes to mind,” Rob says of Chloe. “With her, I feel like I can talk about anything from super nerdy stuff like my Lego hobby, to music, to more serious things like matters of love or even current events.”
For Chloe, she’s happy to get to marry her best friend. “He knows how to make me laugh, what to do when I'm sad, and it was easy to fall for someone who was so accepting of who I am and supportive of my interests and passions even before we started dating, no matter how silly they may seem.” Even before they were a couple, Rob proved to be incredibly thoughtful. “Months before we started dating,” Chloe recalled, “[Rob] taught me how to use software to stream Minesweeper on Twitch and also made me homemade mac and cheese (my favorite food) for my birthday.”
When asked about the secret to a successful relationship, they said simply, “open, honest communication.” And, in our opinion, a healthy dose of party games never hurt either! The couple even said that “knowing each other so well has given [them] each a huge advantage when we're playing Fibbage: Enough About You.” A couple who games together, stays together, after all!
So next time you’re looking to ask out a date or try your hand in marriage, perhaps boot up a Party Pack or two! In fact, we even have many two-player games for your next date night!
